Pain around the ankle can be due to damage to the ligaments around the outside edge of the foot and ankle and often occurs where the joints around the ankle are exceptionally mobile. Other causes of ankle pain include Achilles Tendonitis which is due to overstress of the tendon although this also may present as heel pain. Where the cause of the symptoms is over-pronation (in rolling) of the feet a prescription orthoses can be fitted with a heel lift added where appropriate. Ankle Sprains & Running Injuries | | |
