The driving force behind ORTHOTICSDIRECT
is podiatrist Andrew Fisher who has specialised
in Biomechanics and Gait Analysis since
qualifying from Cardiff in 1976.

Podiatrists diagnose and treat abnormalities of the lower limb giving advice and treatment for a range of conditions including infections, foot ulcers and lower limb dysfunction which can occur where the foot is out of alignment with the rest of the body, leading to pain and discomfort.

Our team of podiatrists specialise in this particular field of podiatry known as Biomechanics. They are all members of the Society of Podiatrists and are registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC).

As a fully committed and enthusiastic specialist in the field of Biomechanics, Andrew has worked in a wide range of settings including top sports clinics, HM Forces and private hospitals.

His extensive clinical work ensures he is well equipped when assessing and prescribing orthoses for a wide range of conditions.

For many of the conditions associated with lower limb dysfunction the first choice of treatment will be orthoses (shoe inserts). These may be prescribed following a Biomechanical Assessment and Gait Analysis.

All orthoses supplied by ORTHOTICSDIRECT are manufactured to a high specification, using the most clinically and cost effect materials which meet all the quality standards required by the Medical Devices Agency.

Orthoses from ORTHOTICSDIRECT are only available by visiting one of our specialist centres or associated clinics.
